SuperMagneto Pro by CycleOps

CycleOps has been the leader in cycling indoor solutions for so many years. The company got acquired by Saris (famous for their bike racks) in 1999, and since then, Saris has brought CycleOps to the next level! Not much to tell about the science, the superb quality, the lifetime warranty, the great functionality and the awesome looks of all CycleOps products!

I am fortunate to train in one of their best products, the CycleOps SuperMagneto Pro. I have used the trainer during the winter mostly but also during the season for more controlled interval workouts and power tests (quick indoor workout, power test).

The SuperMagneto Pro belongs to the Pro-series of the brand featuring ultra-quiet progressive magnetic resistance to simulate the feel of open road cycling. The coolest feature (and one of the differences compared to the the Magneto trainer) is the four resistance settings (easy spin, open road, intervals, mountain) that make your workouts really count!

The unit is super easy to set up (already pre-assembled) just open the box and go! (more or less). It fits most wheel sizes (650b, 700c, 26'', 27'' and 29'') and if you have any trouble or questions just swing by the awesome website, watch the videos or contact the cool beans here: http://www.cycleops.com/product/supermagneto

And if you still cannot decide, what is better: trainer or rollers, CycleOps has the best answer:

A trainer is designed to work on strength and endurance training and typically provides more resistance than rollers. Riding rollers promotes good balance and a smooth pedal stroke. Many people incorporate both in their off-season training. So, it depends on your training goals as to which one is right for you.

Happy holidays, happy training!
